The Kitchen Experience is an exclusive, hands-on culinary event hosted by a private chef from the Old Mountain Tavern, designed specifically for guests of the Tavern Suites. Over three hours, you will receive personalized cooking instruction, recipe tutorials, and a multi-course plated dinner prepared and served right in the comfort of your suite.
How do I book the Kitchen Experience and how much does it cost?
The experience is priced at a flat rate of $1,750 for up to 4 guests (additional guests can be added for $250/person, up to the suite's max capacity). You can easily select this option as an add-on during the checkout process when booking any Tavern Suites property on our website.

The tavern is located at 815 6th Avenue in downtown Marlinton, West Virginia. The luxury Tavern Suites are located directly on the second floor above the tavern, offering quick, private elevator and stair access so you can turn your evening of local music and fine dining into a seamless mountain getaway.

Absolutely. Our culinary coordinator will reach out to you within 48 hours of booking to curate your custom menu. We happily accommodate all dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and keto options.

We host the region's best live folk, bluegrass, and acoustic artists every Friday and Saturday night starting at 8:00 PM.
